  • 1 cup diced ham

  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook macaroni according to package directions.
  • In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, or until thickened.
  • Stir in cheddar cheese, ham, salt, and pepper until melted and combined.
  • Add cooked macaroni and stir to coat. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
