  • 1 lb 0.45 kg ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ cup 0.12 L heavy cream
  • 1 cup 0.25 lb shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of choice)
  • ¼ cup 0.06 L mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard Dijon or yellow
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Cook the Ground Beef

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain any excess fat.

Step 3: Assemble the Casserole

  • Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the beef layer.

Step 4: Make the Egg Mixture

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, mayonnaise, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the beef and bacon in the baking dish.

Step 5: Add the Cheese

  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.

Step 6: Bake the Casserole

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 7: Garnish and Serve

  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!

  • Storage: Store leftover casserole in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
  • Freezer-Friendly: You can freeze the baked casserole for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat before serving.
  • Variations: Add chopped pickles for a classic cheeseburger flavor, or use Monterey Jack or pepper jack cheese for a spicy kick.
  • Serving Tip: Serve with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles for a complete cheeseburger experience, or enjoy with a side of low-carb veggies.
