Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic powder, dill, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the lemon-herb butter generously over each fillet.
Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes. Serve the salmon hot, garnished with lemon slices and additional dill if desired.
Notes
For added texture, sprinkle with toasted almonds before serving. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
