Lemon Ginger Iced Green Tea

A refreshing and invigorating iced green tea infused with zesty lemon and spicy ginger, perfect for a hot day.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 bags green tea
  • 0.5 cup fresh ginger peeled and thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup honey or maple syrup or to taste
  • ice cubes
  • lemon slices and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation Steps

  • In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the sliced ginger and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the green tea bags and let them steep for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bags. Stir in the fresh lemon juice and honey (or maple syrup) until dissolved. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
  • Pour the cooled tea mixture into a pitcher. Fill with ice cubes.
  • Garnish with lemon slices and mint sprigs before serving.

Notes

This iced tea can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
