Lemon Ginger Iced Green Tea

honey or maple syrup

lemon slices and mint sprigs

Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the sliced ginger and simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the green tea bags and let them steep for 5 minutes.
Remove the tea bags. Stir in the fresh lemon juice and honey (or maple syrup) until dissolved. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
Pour the cooled tea mixture into a pitcher. Fill with ice cubes.
Garnish with lemon slices and mint sprigs before serving.
Notes
This iced tea can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
