Brown ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
Add onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, broken lasagna noodles, water, oregano, and basil. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until noodles are tender.
Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Serve hot.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use Italian sausage instead of ground beef. You can also add other vegetables, such as spinach or mushrooms.
