  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 cup Chopped onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 28 oz Crushed tomatoes
  • 15 oz Lasagna noodles, broken
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp Dried basil
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese

Preparation Steps

  • Brown ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in crushed tomatoes, broken lasagna noodles, water, oregano, and basil. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until noodles are tender.
  • Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Serve hot.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use Italian sausage instead of ground beef. You can also add other vegetables, such as spinach or mushrooms.
