Italian beef sandwiches

Tender, flavorful Italian beef piled high on crusty rolls, perfect for a comforting and satisfying meal.

  • 3 lb Beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix
  • 1 jar Pepperoncini peppers Drained
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 6 each Crusty rolls

Instructions
 

Preparation Steps

  • Place the beef chuck roast in a slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the Italian dressing mix over the roast.
  • Add the pepperoncini peppers and beef broth to the slow cooker.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is very tender and easily shredded.
  • Shred the beef with two forks.
  • Serve the shredded beef on crusty rolls with some of the cooking liquid.

Notes

Optional additions: provolone cheese, giardiniera.
