Instructions
Preparation Steps
Peel the potatoes and cut them into evenly sized chunks.
Place the potatoes in a pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt.
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
Mash the potatoes with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Stir in the chives and serve warm.
Notes
For an extra creamy texture, you can add more milk.
