  • 2 packages frozen puff pastry thawed
  • 3 cups prepared cookie dough use your favorite brand
  • 1 large egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon flour for dusting the surface
  • 1 teaspoon cooking spray for greasing the muffin pan

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a muffin pan with cooking spray.
  • On a floured surface, roll out each puff pastry sheet to approximately 1/8 inch thickness.
  • Evenly distribute cookie dough onto one of the rolled-out sheets, leaving a slight border along the edges.
  • Place the second puff pastry sheet atop the first, pressing gently to adhere.
  • Cut the layered pastry into 18 equal strips. Roll each strip into a loose spiral and place into the prepared muffin pan.
  • Brush the tops with the egg wash. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown, tenting with aluminum foil if necessary to prevent over-browning.

Notes

To maximize the puff pastry's rise, ensure it remains cold while you work. Serve warm for best results.
