Instructions
Preparation Steps
Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions; flatten each into thin patties.
Season each patty on both sides with garlic powder and black pepper.
Cooking Steps
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook patties until browned, about 3 minutes each side.
Top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese, stack two patties together, and cover to melt cheese.
Toast buns in a dry pan until golden brown.
Assembly
