  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend recommended
  • 2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 8 slices cooked bacon halved crosswise
  • 4 sesame seed buns
  • 4 tbsp salted butter melted
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 slices American cheese store brand
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 16 slices dill pickles fast-food style
  • 0.5 medium yellow onion finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup yellow mustard
  • 0.5 cup ketchup

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven according to frozen fries package directions for optional side.
  • In a small bowl, combine ketchup and mustard. Set aside.

Cook the Burgers

  • Heat the skillet over medium-high heat and lightly brush with vegetable oil.
  • Divide beef into 4 portions, form loose balls, and smash on the skillet to 5-inch patties.
  • Season patties with seasoned salt and pepper, cook for 3-4 minutes until crispy.
  • Flip, season again, and cook 1-2 more minutes. Add cheese slices and melt.

Toast the Buns

  • Reduce heat to medium. Brush bun interiors with butter and toast in skillet until golden.

Assemble the Burgers

  • Place cheeseburger on each bottom bun, top with bacon strips.
  • Layer lettuce, pickles, and onion. Spread ketchup-mustard on top bun and place on burger.

Serve

  • Serve immediately with your favorite drink and hot french fries.
