Homemade Turtle Candy With Pecans and Caramel

A delightful candy treat that combines chocolate, caramel, and pecans.

  • 2.5 cups pecans halved
  • 14 oz caramels unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 cups chocolate chips semisweet

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the pecans on a baking sheet and toast for about 8 minutes.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the caramels and heavy cream, and heat in 30-second intervals until smooth, stirring between each interval.
  • On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arrange small piles of pecans. Spoon caramel over each pile and let it set.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave. Drizzle over the caramel-pecan piles and let them cool until set.

Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
