This homemade Kahlua will elevate your cocktails with its rich and flavorful sweetness.

  • 2 cups water Use filtered water for best results
  • 2.5 cups granulated sugar Adjust sweetness as desired
  • 1.5 cups instant coffee Choose a quality brand for better flavor
  • 2 cups vodka 80-proof recommended
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract Pure vanilla extract preferred

Preparation Steps

  • Boil the water and sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the instant coffee until completely mixed.
  • Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
  • Add vodka and vanilla extract to the cooled mixture and stir well.
  • Pour the Kahlua into bottles and store in a cool, dark place for at least 2-3 weeks before using.

Notes

Shake well before each use. Best served over ice or in cocktails.
