Herb-Infused Savory Chicken Delight

Transform simple chicken into a gourmet meal with a luscious creamy sauce infused with herbs and garlic.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 3 pcs chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 1.5 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp olive oil divided use

Sauce Ingredients

  • 3 cups chicken stock
  • 0.75 cup heavy cream
  • 0.75 cup dry white wine optional
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup sun-dried tomatoes drained and chopped
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese softened
  • 0.75 cup Parmesan cheese grated

Sauce Seasonings

  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.75 tsp dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes optional

Garnish

  • 0.25 cup fresh basil chopped

Preparation Steps

  • Cut and flatten chicken breasts to even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Dredge in flour and shake off excess.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a pan. Sear chicken on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add white wine to deglaze. Cook until reduced by half. Stir in minced garlic and butter.
  • Gradually add chicken stock, heavy cream, and honey. Stir in the sauces seasonings, and sun-dried tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Lower heat, then add cream cheese and Parmesan. Stir until the sauce is creamy. Return chicken to pan, spoon sauce over top.
  • Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is heated through. Serve garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

Serve with pasta or rice for a complete meal. For a non-alcoholic version, replace wine with additional chicken stock.
