Hamburger Rice Casserole – Hearty and Comforting One-Dish Meal

This Hamburger Rice Casserole is a hearty and comforting one-dish meal, perfect for a family dinner.

  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked rice preferably long grain
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5 oz can
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cups beef broth

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned.
  • Stir in the rice, cream of mushroom soup, and beef broth. Mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top.
  • Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Uncover, sprinkle with the remaining cheddar cheese, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

Notes

Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
