Hamburger rice casserole

A quick and easy hamburger rice casserole that's perfect for a weeknight meal.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5 ounce
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Stir in the uncooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top and bake for another 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
