Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry
Flaky puff pastry filled with savory ham and melted cheese, baked until golden and crisp. A perfect appetizer or light meal.

Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to a 30x20 cm rectangle.
Spread the Dijon mustard evenly over the pastry, if using.
Sprinkle the diced ham and grated cheese evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1 cm border around the edges.
Fold the pastry in half lengthwise and press the edges firmly to seal. Crimp with a fork if desired.
Brush the top with beaten egg and sprinkle with chopped parsley, if using.
Cut the pastry into 4 equal portions and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with a side salad for a complete light meal. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days and reheated in the oven.
