Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry

Delicious and easy ham and cheese puff pastry pockets, perfect for a quick snack or appetizer.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 4 oz cooked ham thinly sliced
  • 4 oz cheese shredded, such as cheddar or Swiss
  • 1 egg beaten, for egg wash

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll the thawed puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface. Cut it into 8 equal rectangles.

  • Place a slice or two of ham and a tablespoon of shredded cheese on one half of each puff pastry rectangle.

  • Fold the other half of the puff pastry over the filling to create a pocket. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal.

  • Brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg wash.

  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving. Adjust baking time based on your oven.
