  • 1 lb Ground Beef 80/20 blend recommended
  • 1 cup Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Mushrooms sliced
  • 0.5 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 0.25 cup Dry White Wine
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Preparation Steps

  • Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess fat.
  • Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle flour over the mixture and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • Gradually whisk in beef broth and white wine. Bring to a simmer.
  • Reduce heat to low, stir in sour cream, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes, or until sauce has thickened.
  • Serve hot over noodles or rice.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use cream instead of sour cream. You can also add other vegetables, such as peas or carrots.
