Instructions
Preparation Steps
Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess fat.
Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes.
Sprinkle flour over the mixture and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Gradually whisk in beef broth and white wine. Bring to a simmer.
Reduce heat to low, stir in sour cream, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes, or until sauce has thickened.
Serve hot over noodles or rice.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use cream instead of sour cream. You can also add other vegetables, such as peas or carrots.
