  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounce mushrooms sliced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 8 ounce egg noodles cooked and drained

Preparation Steps

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  • Add onions and mushrooms, and sauté until soft.
  • Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until sauce thickens.
  • Reduce heat to low, stir in sour cream, and heat through (do not boil).
  • Serve over hot egg noodles.

Notes

Feel free to substitute Greek yogurt for the sour cream for a lighter version.
