Ginger Soy Beef with Green Beans: 6 Tips for the Perfect Dish!
This Ginger Soy Beef with Green Beans is a delicious and quick Asian-inspired dish featuring tender beef strips, crisp green beans, and a savory sauce. Serve with steamed rice for a complete, satisfying meal perfect for any weeknight dinner.
In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, and half the cornstarch with half the beef broth. Whisk until cornstarch is completely dissolved.
In another bowl, coat the beef strips with garlic and ginger. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from skillet.
In the same skillet, add the green beans and sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
Return the beef to the skillet. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the beef and green beans, stirring to coat. Cook for an additional 3 minutes.
Mix the remaining cornstarch with the remaining beef broth to make a slurry. Add to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens, approximately 1 minute.
Serve immediately over steamed rice.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes while cooking the beef. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
