Prep : 10 Total : 25 minutes

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 large lobster tails about 10-12 ounces each, thawed if frozen
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 teaspoons dried herbs such as thyme and oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 0.25 teaspoon red chili flakes optional, for a hint of heat
  • 1 fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
  • 2 lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Thaw the lobster tails overnight in the refrigerator or quickly in cold water if frozen. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  • Preheat your oven's broiler to high and position an oven rack about 4 inches from the top.
  • Using kitchen shears, cut through the top hard shell of each lobster tail lengthwise. Gently lift the lobster meat so that it sits atop the shells.
  • In a bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, dried herbs, black pepper, and red chili flakes, whisking until well mixed.
  • Brush the lobster meat generously with the seasoned butter mixture using a pastry brush.
  • Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet and broil for 10-12 minutes until the meat is opaque and slightly golden, basting once halfway through.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for a perfect finish.

Notes

Ensure not to overcook the lobster tails to keep them tender and juicy. Experiment with different herbs for varied flavors.
