  • 24 pieces biscuit dough store-bought or homemade
  • 24 pieces mini meatballs fully cooked
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese or cheese of your choice
  • 2 teaspoons herb mix such as Italian seasoning
  • 2 pieces eggs beaten

Garlic Butter

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary or to taste

Tomato Sauce

  • 1 cup basil pesto homemade or store-bought
  • 4 cups tomato sauce use your favorite brand
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil extra virgin recommended

Preparation Steps

  • Ensure meatballs are pre-cooked and set aside at room temperature.
  • Combine melted butter with minced garlic, grated Parmesan, and dried rosemary. Mix well.
  • Mix basil pesto and tomato sauce in a bowl. Stir in olive oil until combined.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Flatten each biscuit dough piece and brush with garlic butter mixture.
  • Spoon a small amount of sauce onto each dough piece, place a meatball in the center, and top with cheese and herb mix.
  • Wrap dough around the filling, pinching edges to seal, and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush tops with beaten eggs and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with additional sauce if desired.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add chopped jalapenos to the filling. Refrigerate until ready to bake or freeze for longer storage. Adjust cheese and herbs to your taste!
