  • 4 slices bacon thick-cut recommended
  • 1 head cabbage chopped
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Preparation Steps

  • In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté onion until translucent.
  • Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Toss in the chopped cabbage, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  • Cook until cabbage is tender, about 10-12 minutes. Stir in the cooked bacon before serving.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes while cooking the cabbage.
