  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 0.5 cup milk at room temperature
  • 2 large eggs separated
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, beat egg yolks, milk, and vanilla extract.
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
  • In another bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form, gradually add sugar, and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the egg whites into the batter.
  • On a preheated non-stick skillet over low heat, pour a dollop of batter and cover with a lid. Cook for about 5 minutes, flip, and cook for another 5 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Serve immediately with maple syrup or your favorite topping.
