  • In a large, chilled bowl, combine the heavy cream and powdered sugar. Beat with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
  • In another bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese with the hazelnut spread and almond extract until smooth and well blended.
  • Gently fold one-third of the whipped cream into the hazelnut mixture to lighten it.
  • Carefully fold in the remaining whipped cream in two additions, ensuring the mixture remains light and airy.
  • Divide the mousse into serving dishes and cover each with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.
  • Before serving, top with optional garnishes like toasted hazelnuts or chocolate curls if desired. Serve chilled.
