Preparation Steps
In a large, chilled bowl, combine the heavy cream and powdered sugar. Beat with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
In another bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese with the hazelnut spread and almond extract until smooth and well blended.
Gently fold one-third of the whipped cream into the hazelnut mixture to lighten it.
Carefully fold in the remaining whipped cream in two additions, ensuring the mixture remains light and airy.
Divide the mousse into serving dishes and cover each with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.
Before serving, top with optional garnishes like toasted hazelnuts or chocolate curls if desired. Serve chilled.
