  • 1.5 pounds pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour for dusting
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese optional

Garlic Butter

  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 8 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 cup fresh basil chopped
  • 1 teaspoon oregano dried
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper optional, for spice

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix softened butter with garlic, Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, and crushed red pepper. Set aside.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 16x10 inches.
  • Cut the dough into strips and twist each strip into a knot. Place on a lined baking sheet.
  • Brush each knot generously with the garlic butter mixture and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese if desired. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
