Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour plus more for the pan
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
- 2 tablespoons whole milk for the glaze
Instructions
Heat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 10-cup Bundt pan, tapping out excess flour.
Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
Beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, then beat in the vanilla.
Add the dry ingredients in three additions, alternating with the milk in two additions. Mix just until no dry streaks remain.
Scrape the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 48 to 52 minutes, until a tester inserted in the thickest part comes out clean.
Cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes, then invert it onto a rack and cool completely.
Whisk the confectioners sugar and 2 tablespoons milk until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cake and let the glaze set before slicing.
