Oven
- 2 –3 ripe bananas mashed
- ½ cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup sugar can reduce for less sweetness
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- Optional: ½ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the loaf pan: Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
Mash bananas: In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.
Combine wet ingredients: Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas and mix well.
Add dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
Fold in mix-ins: If using walnuts or chocolate chips, fold them into the batter.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55–65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
