Double Dark Chocolate Cake: A Recipe for Chocolate Lovers
This Double Dark Chocolate Cake is rich, moist, and full of intense cocoa flavor. Perfect for any chocolate lovers' gathering, this cake is paired with a dreamy chocolate ganache.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing them and lining the bottoms with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together using an electric mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
Fold in the dark chocolate chips gently.
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes. Let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes before turning them out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a glossy finish, you can glaze the cake with a ganache made from melted dark chocolate and cream.
