Dirty Rice

A flavorful and easy one-pan dirty rice recipe. Perfect for a weeknight meal.

  • 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Preparation Steps

  • Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add onion and green bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in rice, chicken broth, and thyme. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until rice is cooked through.
