Deviled Eggs Recipe

A classic appetizer recipe for creamy and flavorful deviled eggs.

  • 6 large eggs
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Drain hot water and rinse eggs with cold water. Gently tap eggs all over to create cracks in the shell.
  • Peel eggs and cut in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a bowl.
  • Mash yolks with a fork. Add mayonnaise, mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Spoon yolk mixture into egg white halves. Garnish as desired.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the yolk mixture.
