Delicious Gluten-Free Crackers: Perfect Crunch at Home

These homemade gluten-free crackers are a perfect snack—crispy, airy, and easy to make!

  • 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour Use a blend with xanthan gum for better texture.
  • 1 tsp salt Kosher salt for seasoning.
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil Solidified.
  • 8 tbsp cold butter Grate with a box grater.
  • 0.5 cup ice water Add more as needed.
  • 3 tbsp melted butter For brushing.

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Mix the gluten-free flour, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl.
  • Grate the cold butter into the flour mixture and mix with your hands until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Add coconut oil and ice water gradually, mixing until the dough comes together. Ensure it's not sticky.
  • Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  • Roll the dough on a floured surface to slightly more than 1/8-inch thickness. Cut with a round cookie cutter.
  • Place the cut-out crackers on prepared sheets, leaving space between each. Poke holes to prevent puffing.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  • Remove from oven and brush with melted butter. Allow crackers to cool before storing.
