  • 4 count croissant large, cut in half horizontally
  • 8 ounces sausage patties cooked
  • 6 large egg beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 4 slices gouda cheese or your favorite cheese
  • 1 pinch salt to taste
  • 1 pinch black pepper freshly ground, to taste

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat an oven to 375°F (190°C) and arrange the croissant halves face up on a baking tray. Toast in the oven for 5 minutes or until lightly golden. Set aside.
  • In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add the beaten eggs. Season with salt and pepper, then cook while gently stirring until the eggs are fluffy and just set. Remove from heat.
  • Layer each croissant bottom with a sausage patty, a portion of the scrambled eggs, and a slice of gouda cheese. Replace the top half of the croissant and return to the oven for 3-4 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.
  • Serve warm and enjoy your delightful croissant breakfast sandwich.

Notes

For a spicier twist, add a dash of hot sauce to the scrambled eggs.
