Preparation Steps
Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
In a large bowl, melt the butter.
Add the milk, salt, and pepper to the melted butter.
Layer half of the potatoes in the crock pot.
Pour half of the milk mixture over the potatoes.
Repeat layers.
Cook on low for 5 hours or high for 3 hours.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of cheese during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
