Crispy Lemon Pepper Air Fryer Chicken Wings

Easy and delicious lemon pepper chicken wings cooked to crispy perfection in the air fryer. A healthier take on a classic favorite.

Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Wings

  • 5.5 lbs chicken wings separated into drumettes and flats
  • 3 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 0.5 tsp sea salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper freshly ground

For the Lemon Butter Sauce

  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp zest of lemon

Preparation Steps

  • Clean and pat dry the chicken wings thoroughly.
  • In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with lemon pepper seasoning, olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.

Air Fry the Chicken Wings

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  • Place the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry for about 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Prepare the Lemon Butter Sauce

  • In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in the lemon juice, honey, and lemon zest. Heat until just combined.

Combine and Serve

  • Once the wings are cooked, place them in a large bowl and pour over the lemon butter sauce. Toss to coat thoroughly.
  • Serve immediately. Garnish with additional lemon zest if desired.

Notes

For added richness, drizzle extra honey over the wings just before serving.
