  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper freshly ground, to taste

Preparation Steps

  • In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Rub the seasoning mixture over both sides of the chicken breasts.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, pour in the chicken stock and bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and dried thyme, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  • Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
