Creamy Garlic Shrimp

This creamy garlic shrimp is a quick and tasty dish, perfect for a weeknight dinner. Juicy shrimp are cooked in a delicious garlic sauce, served over pasta or rice.

  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped, for garnish

Preparation Steps

  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  • Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic. Cook until garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Bring the sauce to a simmer.
  • Add shrimp back to the skillet and coat with the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm over pasta or rice.

Notes

For best results, use fresh shrimp. Adjust seasoning to taste. You can also add your favorite vegetables for additional flavor and texture.
