Creamy Chicken Pasta

A rich and comforting dish featuring tender chicken breast in a creamy, garlic-infused sauce paired with al dente pasta. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or special occasion.

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Preparation Steps

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • While the pasta cooks, season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and half of the Italian seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream and remaining Italian seasoning. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the drained pasta and toss gently to combine. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce is smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan on top.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream and add a splash of chicken broth to maintain richness.
