1cupheavy cream
0.5cupgrated Parmesan cheese
1teaspoondried Italian seasoning
1teaspoonsalt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
2tablespoonunsalted butter
2tablespoonchopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Preparation Steps
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
While the pasta cooks, season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and half of the Italian seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream and remaining Italian seasoning. Bring to a gentle simmer.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the drained pasta and toss gently to combine. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce is smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan on top.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream and add a splash of chicken broth to maintain richness.
