Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup

This creamy chicken noodle soup is comforting, delicious, and easy to make for a perfect family dinner.

  • 1 pound chicken breasts boneless and skinless
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups egg noodles uncooked
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 stalks celery sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Preparation Steps

  • In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the onions, garlic, carrots, and celery until tender.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the pot and pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook until the chicken is cooked through, about 15 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken from the pot and shred it with two forks.
  • Return the shredded chicken to the pot. Stir in the egg noodles and heavy cream, and cook until the noodles are tender.
  • Season with salt and black pepper, adjust to taste, and serve hot.

Notes

Garnish with fresh parsley before serving, if desired.
