Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the onions, garlic, carrots, and celery until tender.
Add the chicken breasts to the pot and pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook until the chicken is cooked through, about 15 minutes.
Remove the chicken from the pot and shred it with two forks.
Return the shredded chicken to the pot. Stir in the egg noodles and heavy cream, and cook until the noodles are tender.
Season with salt and black pepper, adjust to taste, and serve hot.
Notes
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving, if desired.
