Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 or lean
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for spice
  • 2 cups bowtie pasta farfalle
  • 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream or milk for a lighter version
  • ½ cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Instructions
 

Step 1: Cook the Beef

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat.

Step 2: Sauté Aromatics

  • Add onion and cook until softened (2-3 minutes).
  • Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, cooking for another 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 3: Cook the Pasta

  • Add bowtie pasta, diced tomatoes, and beef broth to the skillet. Stir well.
  • Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until pasta is tender.

Step 4: Make It Creamy

  • Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream, cream cheese, and butter until melted and combined.
  • Add shredded cheese and stir until creamy and smooth.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!

  • Garnish with fresh parsley or basil.
  • Serve immediately with extra cheese on top!
