Crispy and creamy wontons filled with a sweet cream cheese mixture. Perfect as an appetizer or snack!

  • 8 ounce Cream cheese Softened
  • 2 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 24 Wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil For frying

Preparation Steps

  • In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Place a small spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  • Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper over to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal tightly. You can also create other shapes like purses.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer over medium heat.
  • Carefully place the wontons in the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the wontons from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

These cream cheese wontons are best served warm. You can sprinkle them with powdered sugar or drizzle with honey for added sweetness.
