  • 1 cup water

Preparation Steps

  • Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • Combine the rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, and salt in a saucepan.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender.
  • Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use full-fat coconut milk. You can also add a squeeze of lime juice before serving.
