Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven: Position a rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
Blend wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, and buttermilk until smooth.
Combine: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir with a spatula until just incorporated. Avoid overmixing.
Fold in blueberries: Carefully fold in the blueberries, being careful not to crush them.
Fill muffin cups: Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling them about 3/4 full.
Bake and cool: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the wet ingredients or sprinkle some coarse sugar on top before baking for a crunchy finish.
