  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 10 oz dark chocolate chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup caramel sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt for garnish

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and sugar. Add cold butter and mix until crumbly.
  • Press the dough into a tart pan and bake for 15 minutes. Let it cool.
  • In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until just boiling, then pour over chopped dark chocolate. Stir until smooth.
  • Pour the chocolate mixture over the cooled tart shell.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce on top and sprinkle with sea salt.
  • Refrigerate tart for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality chocolate and freshly made caramel sauce.
