1.5cupsall-purpose flourcan use gluten-free flour blend if preferred
1.5cupsrolled oatsensure certified gluten-free if needed
1cuppacked brown sugar
0.5teaspoonbaking soda
0.5teaspoonsalt
1cupunsalted buttermelted
1cupchocolate hazelnut spreadNutella or similar
1cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips
1cupchopped toasted hazelnuts

Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt. Stir in the melted butter until the mixture is crumbly.
Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and bake for 10 minutes.
Spread the chocolate hazelnut spread evenly over the baked base. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and hazelnuts.
Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the top and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the topping is lightly browned and set.
Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares. Use refrigeration if needed to speed up cooling.
Notes
To store, place the bars in an airtight container and keep at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for 5 days. For a festive twist, drizzle melted white chocolate over cooled bars.
