Soft, chewy chocolate chip cookies filled with rich chunks of chocolate and melty chips, perfect for any occasion.

  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.33 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.005 cup vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  • In a large bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until smooth.
  • Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden.
  • Remove from oven and let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
