  • 1 lb green beans trimmed
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter divided
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 0.5 tsp salt to taste

Preparation Steps

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil and add salt.
  • Add green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Drain the green beans and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tbsp of butter.
  • Add chili flakes and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add the green beans and the remaining butter. Toss to coat.
  • Season with additional salt as necessary and serve warm.

Notes

Try using different types of chili flakes for varying heat levels.
