This Chicken Florentine recipe features tender chicken breasts in a creamy spinach and mushroom sauce.

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts boneless and skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups baby spinach fresh
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt to taste

Preparation Steps

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides.
  • Remove chicken from skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and garlic, sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add heavy cream to the skillet, stirring to scrape up any browned bits. Bring to a simmer.
  • Return chicken to the skillet, cover with sauce, and add spinach. Cook until spinach is wilted and chicken is cooked through.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can add grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce.
