8tortillasmall flour tortillas (6-inch)

Preparation Steps
In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, taco seasoning, and water. Mix well and let sit for 5 minutes.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken mixture and cook for 5–7 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat and stir in half of the shredded cheese.
Warm tortillas slightly (in a dry skillet or microwave) to make them pliable. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the chicken-cheese mixture onto each tortilla, leaving space at the ends.
Roll each tortilla tightly into a cylinder, tucking in the sides as you roll. Secure with toothpicks if needed.
Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Fry flautas in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Serve warm with optional toppings such as sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.
