Cherry Cupcakes

Delicious and moist cherry cupcakes perfect for any occasion.

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup milk room temperature
  • 1 cup fresh cherries pitted and chopped

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with the milk, mixing just until incorporated. Fold in the cherries.
  • Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cupcake liners.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.
  • Allow cupcakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

You can frost the cupcakes with your favorite frosting once cooled.
